🚀 Exciting update: Our cutting-edge schedule forecasting is now live!

What's new?

We are predicting case start times and durations using sophisticated algorithms trained on historical data from EHR data and Apella actuals. These algorithms take into account factors like the surgeon, procedure,time of day and number of total procedures.

Charge nurses and OR managers will benefit from having a more accurate view of what the day may look like. With this information, they can proactively decide to schedule that add-on case into an OR that will end early, prepare on-call staff on days projected to end late, or prioritize quick turnarounds to stay on schedule.

Our schedule forecasting is predicting that Dr. Bernstein's second case, an achilles tendon repair, will start 30 minutes late but still conclude early!

How do we measure accuracy?

Apella consistently outperforms your schedule. Our schedule forecasting predictions are accurate 71% of the time, whereas your schedule is only accurate 47% of the time.

For < 90 minute cases: Predictions are accurate within a 15-minute range
For > 90 minute cases: Predictions are accurate within a 30-minute range
