Turnover Dashboard Announcement
Apella's turnover dashboard, when used actively by key stakeholders will help OR teams execute efficient and effective turnovers by giving them the most up to date information about what is going on in their OR’s. This information helps them
- prioritize their work to ensure that rooms are cleaned as quickly as possible and set-up at the appropriate time for the next case.
- ensure that they aren’t delayed unnecessarily by latent “wheels out” notifications as documented in the EHR.
The following people can benefit from this product:
- EVS/ORA: These teams can use the product to ensure that they see right away when a patient wheels out so that they clean the room so it's ready for the next patient. These teams usually utilize a monitor near their gathering/lounge area to see this screen. They can also utilize a mobile device as appropriate.
- Anesthesia Techs: These teams can use the product to ensure that they see right away when a patient wheels out so that they can ensure the anesthesia machine and supplies are ready for the next case.. These teams usually utilize a monitor near their gathering/lounge area to see this screen. They can also utilize a mobile device as appropriate.
- Floats, managers other folks who sometimes lend a hand: Wherever possible, set the turnover dashboard in a hallway where floats and other helping hands can see it. If a turnover is running long, maybe they can help out.
Charge Nurses will get most of this information from their existing utilization of the Live dashboard. They might benefit from a screen where they can see the turnover specific information, but it should not be necessary to flip back and forth between the Live gallery and the turnover dashboard to get this information.
